Doom 3 is a 2004 survival horror first-person shooter video game developed by id Software and published by Activision. I'd say the game was something quite different compared to other Doom games in the franchise, as it incorporated element of survival horror and focused much more on the story. Overall, it was a commercial success and the game was later re-released in 2012 in the BFG edition by Bethesda Softworks.

Doom 3 takes place on Mars in 2145 when a massive demonic invasion overwhelms the UAC's Mars Research Facility. We assume the role of the space marine and fight through the hordes of hellspawn to stop them from taking over Mars and consequently attacking Earth.
