6For a game with steroids as a pickup / powerup, you knew that a world tour had to include a reference to the pinnacle of performance-enhanced sporting competition: The Tour de France. I mean, we don't see any bicyclists or ride a bike but at least there was a half-assed reference to the Tour in this game...

Duke Nukem 3D is a first-person shooter developed by 3D Realms. It was originally released for PC in 1996 with subsequent releases on Mac OS, Game.com, Sega Saturn, Nintendo 64, PlayStation, Sega Genesis, Xbox 360, iOS and Android. An updated version called the Megaton Edition was released on Windows PC, OS X, Linux, PlayStation 3 and PS Vita. A second updated version, called the 20th Anniversary World Tour, was released for Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
