Dungeon Master is not only a dungeon crawler, it is THE dungeon crawler which defined what most games of the genre would look like.
It introduces the mechanic of interacting with your enviroment and how to use it for puzzles and similiar.
It came out in 1987 and was released for several systems including Atari ST, PC, Amiga, and even the Super Nintendo Entertainment System.
The version I'm going to play is the Amiga version (naturally).
Doors are fantastic in this game.
They keep out enemies, they're a lead where to go next, and you can mash monsters with them.
Some enemies who were a pain before become much more easier to handle.
It also helps that our group also becomes better.
