Caesar orders us to go into the fortified vault and destroy whatever is inside (despite the fact that he now has the key to get his minions in there and regardless of our past history with the Legion). He never asks what exactly is down there. He never has any of his loyal minions so much as enter the vault after we have gone to see that we did what we were asked. Other than these three errors, which are the biggest holes in this entire story bar none, he seems like a pretty smart guy.
