In this video, I use my new materias to take down the Ruby Weapon without much trouble. I even use one of the lesser characters to emphasize that! :P
What you NEED for this strategy: Knights of the Round or Master Summon, paired with HP absorb, Revive paired with Final Attack, sufficient Magic stat (~200), 600 MP and that's it.
It's HIGHLY recommended to also have Counter (the blue one) paired with Mime/Master Command so that you can mime and save MP, as well as countering with mime.
Also, having the Mystile helps avoid attacks due to the hit percentage.
Dazers paralyze him for a short time.
