0Chapter 13x: The Peddler Merlinus. Hector's first Gaiden/Side Quest chapter. Merlinus has been accosted by Bandits,and it'll be up to Hector and Eliwood to drive them off. This map has Fog of War just like last time,and it definitely feels harder than it did in Eliwoood's story. Tread carefully if you decide to go for the boss named Puzon,the enemies are tough here. I lost quite a few times here and had to just cut to a time where I did well. As last time,try to reach the northern village before a Bandit destroys it,and you'll get 5,000 Gold. Bandits and Nomads appear from the southeast,while Mages and Myrmidons from the southwest. The boss is Puzon,a Mercenary wielding a Steel Sword. Lowen is probably your best bet for dealing with him. If you're really having a hard time,you could always just hunker down where you start and hold enemies off for 7 turns. You'll gain a place to put your extra items for saving Merlinus!
