In this episode I am doing the zone of Badlands. It looked kinda small on the map but there was still plenty to do and I also did 2 dungeons in this episode. Unfortunately I got to close to a Horde Camp and the max level guards that suddenly appeared killed me. In general this would mean game over for my character Azian but I didn't think it was really fair and I was also able to resurrect at the spot since I am playing a shaman. You see, I just saw some level 20 guards at first so I thought it was safe to get close and make sure I had explored this camp for the exploration achievement, even tough I don't get that anymore since the last patch. I think it wasn't even really necessary to explore this place but yea I did and I died.
Just like with my human paladin who also died a questionable death the first time when I was in a dungeon with a big dinosaur which feared the group and made us run into random directions, I run trough a door I shouldn't have been able to run trough, but I did and then you are outside the game-world and fall into a bottomless pit. Just like with this one I didn't think that was really fair, however it didn't feel right to just move on without any penalty to pay so I let fade decide for me. I made a game-rule for myself that if I survived the next BG it means I can continue my game and if I die it means game over. Just like back then I applied the same thing here and just like with my paladin I survived the BG, so I feel cleared now and feel like I can continue my adventures with Azian again.
Anyway I made it into Searing Gorge now so that's for next time.
