In this episode I started a new character called Yutaji, a troll DK. I had the plan to cancel my 4th condtion: Characters of same race each play mostly their own expansion, and turn it into that after every Non-starting-zone I need to queue for a BG. However on second thought I realized this was a bad idea but it is how I started the episode so I want to say I changed my mind about this and turn it back again. I think the original condition was better after all because characters of the same race do actually play mostly their own expansion. Just on rare occasions the next character picks up the last expansion where the previous character died off too early but this usually just happens with the Cataclysm expansion and also I usually have bonus characters as reserve who can try again where some characters before them have failed. Like with my human warrior who did the BFA expansion because my human priest before her died a bit too early and with my trolls I actually have 2 bonus characters so that will be fine. Also I realized there are some practical issues with this new condition and that is if I join a BG after every new zone that I finished I probably won't get very far with questing. Especially in an expansion like Cataclysm where I do the classic zones.
Lets say I start out as an Orc and I do Northern Barrens after the intro zone Durotar, I probably would die in the first BG and even if I don't I will after the second zone like Ashenvale and then I never get to Stonetalon Mountain or Northern Stranglethorn so in other words I won't be able to finish a lot of zones with this condition.
So yea the idea was nice but in the end it has a lot of practical issues so I won't change the 4th condition.
However I didn't change my mind about the task that I changed, I still think getting 9 honorable kills is better then trying to find 9 enemy players in World PVP to kill. I didn't see many enemy players into the world and even if I do they are usually not flagged for PVP. Basically the PVP-servers are gone now and everything has become a PVE-server, another disappointment of WoW but yea that's why I play the free trial and then also since I am playing a free game now I guess I can't complain about it, but yea it is what it is.
In a BG however, I won't run into that problem and then its up to me to make the kill or not but unless their entire team leaves the BG I probably won't have any trouble finding enemy players to kill so I will always be able to fulfill this task.
Anyways with all that out of the way, in this episode I just did the DK intro, I skipped the Into the Maw questline since I did it already with my human DK and doesn't really add much to my game but started out in Bastion right away after some mandatory quests I still had to do before Bastion.
But now I made a good start in Bastion, I killed a few rare mobs as well and one rare mob that actually appeared too be many rare mobs but I am not sure if I should count them as one or as many but yea I think just one since they were all summoned at the same spot. Of those spawned rare mobs only the turtle seems too be somewhat of a challenge. There was also a Wanted quest to kill a rare mob which was somewhat of a hard one but I survived.
I think with my human DK I tried frost DK and now I am trying blood DK with my troll since in lore there are some blood trolls like in Nazmir, not sure if I could compare the two but yea of all the specs I think blood is most suited for a troll.
I think I like blood more then frost since they are harder too kill, I am not sure though if I am ready to join a dungeon as a tank yet since I have no experience with that but lets see.
Anyway next time I hope to finish up with Bastion and do some dungeons and if I get far enough into the Shadowlands expansion I will do those BGs that I promised but it will probably not be after Bastion.
