Welcome, everyone, to one of my favorite space sims of all time. This is Descent Freespace: The Great War albeit with a twist. This is being played with the Freespace Port mod using Freespace Open.

Full disclosure: I have never actually beat either Freespace 1 or Freespace 2 although I have played many similar games in the past. Please refrain from posting story spoilers in the comments. Feel free to give me tips or advice for gameplay if you like but I may not be able to take it as I will probably be recording the vast majority of this series in advance of when I actually upload it rather than recording it that week.

This is also my first attempt at a fighter sim let’s play on my channel so fingers crossed that this series does okay so I have an excuse to do Freespace 2 in the future, I guess.
