Story: Frogger has passed all the terrors of the haunted house and on the way, he jumps on a log in the sewers. After a long and winding road, Frogger finally reaches Swampy's secret lair hidden under the haunted house and while trying to free Lillie Frog locked in a cage, he also gets locked in a cage. Swampy then starts packaging baby frogs into his upcoming game and sends Frogger and Lillie Frog to their deaths in the floor of lava. However, one baby frog by the name of Tad manages to escape before getting packed in a box for Swampy's future game. Can Tad save his parents and stop Swampy's evil plan, fate will decide?
Gameplay: Windup is the final level of Halloween environment and is the final level of the game overall in which you will play as Tad. Your only goal in this level is to reach the top of the playfield. And Windup level is seriously hard as there are loads of crushers, eviscerators, electric connectors and other platforms that can squash you flat. Every time you reach the next floor, playfield will start getting more and more unstable. Hardest part of this level is passing through the elecric connector below the windup tube. Once you reach the final floor, hop on the cylinder to unlock the entrance to the final tube, and when you enter it, level will be complete and the game will be won.
End of Story of Frogger 2: Swampy's Revenge
Just when it seemed that Frogger and Lillie Frog will die and Swampy will finally win, Tad manages to completely overload and wreck Swampy's base and save Frogger and Lille from their deaths. After they are free, Frogger and Lillie Frog with the help of Tad finally succeed in rescuing all of the baby frogs and they all make a hasty escape before haunted house and Swampy's underground lair explodes. Swampy moans in defeat about how his plans to get revenge on Frogger are foiled as he also escapes in his flying saucer from his lair before it explodes. And considering his plans are foiled as he flees into unknown, he will never again cause trouble for Frogger, Lillie Frog, Tad and the Frogger's and Lillie's baby frogs.
Post Script: There is also Retro environment whose levels can only be played in Arcade mode of the game, and you can choose to play any of the unlocked levels in the Story mode as one of these characters: Frogger, Lillie Frog, Tad, Treeby, Wart, Tank, Robbie and Swampy.
