Let's Play FTL e1-01: Enter The Adjudicator
Ship: The Adjudicator (Zoltan-A)
Difficulty: Easy (have to start somewhere easy, right?)
And now for something completely different, a space-faring rogue-lite game known as FTL: Faster Than Light.
FTL is one of the beginning of the Indie Hit generation of games back in 2012, where all of a sudden simpler graphics and independent development studios started making some really popular games. This is quite possibly my favorite time as a PC gamer in more recent times, and FTL one of the best games to come out of that time.
In FTL, you are playing the crew of the sole surviving Federation ship after seeing the Rebel Fleet's super weapon, and your objective is to escape the Rebel Fleet's clutches and bring that vital intelligence to the Federation fleet.
Will we make it? I have no idea! This game is a rogue-lite (or rogue-like) game with heavy randomization and only Ironman-style saving. This means you can only save when you exit and reloading the game deletes your save.
For this first run, I decided to play on Easy difficulty to lull you all into a false sense of security. Also because I had not beaten the game with this ship according to my records (although those are missing some runs, so I'm not actually sure), but this will probably be the only Easy ship run I do. Enjoy!
