Let's Play Caster of Magic e3-04: Torin the Asskicker
Yes Ben, we've finally reach the point of getting Torin the Asskicker... I mean Chosen.
Torin is pretty famous in Master of Magic for being a one hero army that would just start murdering everything in his path. I didn't emphasize this enough in the video, but in base MoM Torin has the highest attack for a hero in the game at level 1, highest defense for a hero in the game at level 1, immune to both Missiles and *MAGIC*, tied for the highest magic resistance in the game (you know, in case if the immunity to magic wasn't enough), is a very powerful Life magic caster, gains two random hero abilities on top of this, and is both a Hero and a Fantastic/Summon unit at the same time
Oh yeah, and he buffs the entire stack of units he's in by merely existing, increasing their attack and resistance... the latter also applying to himself.
And that's level one. Each of those traits level up with him as well, and increase faster than normal. That's because Torin is the literal incarnation / deity of Life Magic itself - hence the spell, Incarnation. This Rare Life Magic spell in base MoM is the sole reason why anyone bothers playing life magic; sure, healing is nice, but what about having a literal god on your side of the battle?
Not only is a high level Torin so ridiculously overpowered that he can take on entire civilizations by himself in base MoM, but if he leads an army of Halfling Slingers into battle, they can start taking on entire armies of Sky Drakes... without Torin doing anything.
Will Torin be the Asskicker from base, or have they changed things a bit? (hint: why not choose both?)
