"Greek for Speed is a cooperative endless runner where each player controls a specific action of a greek athlete carrying the Olympic torch. Players have to correctly time actions such as jump, slide, dash and swinging the torch in order to get as far as possible without crashing along the way. Personal highscores are visible in the level, motivating to try “just once more” to get a bit further than last time.

Greek for Speed on AirConsole
In order to succeed, you’ll have to communicate and coordinate with the rest of the team. In other words, you’ll have a good shouting and laughing with your friends during playtime. We are pretty sure loudly blaming everyone but yourself for the ‘Game Over’ is what makes up half the fun.

The game was created by Team Torch, a group of game design students which includes the developer of Mocking Birds, one of the winners in last year’s AirConsole Game Developer Competition. Greek for Speed was first prototyped within 48 hours at Global Game Jam 2016 and has been fixed and polished in the weeks since.

Visually, Greek for Speed clearly pays homage to classical Greek Vases, as games such as Apotheon or Rock of Ages have done before.

The game supports 2 to 4 players."
