On the first episode of Let's Play Ghostrunner, we're a cyberninja, one of the eponymous Ghostrunners, and are quite literally dropped into the world without much to go on aside from a voice in our head. The voice tells us that most of our systems are still offline, and we'll need to spring them from their prison to restore them. We'll need to parkour our way through the grimy, industrial cityscape and cut down hostile thugs with the monomolecular katana or die retry until we do. We can also dodge bullets by slowing time in mid-air, and have a handy grappling hook built into our arm. When we reach the prisoner and free them, we discover they are a digital entity called the Architect. The Architect pulls the Ghostrunner into the Cybervoid, a digital space where we learn more about who and what we are, and who the Architect is. But after siding with the Architect against the Keymaster, the usurper tyrant of Dharma Tower, we also learn there are other more human resistance members trying to fight her.
