After traversing both underground islands (via teleporter), we emerge back on the surface map just outside a Green Keymaster's Tent. (The Badge of Courage artifact a Seer's Hut had requested is there, too, BTW.) Now all Tarnum needs to do is retrace his steps, drop off the artifact, pick up more reinforcements, and head through that Green Border Gate towards Castle Steelhorn, right?
(Meanwhile, in the text screens, a crazy Goblin has come up with an alternative theory as to how Tarnum's captains came to die - which Tarnum only hears after stabbing the Goblin to death, fearing that he's learned the truth.)
