Unleash the unspeakable evil and with it finally conquer the universe. For that goal, they have sent their new mortal minion named Duen Long aka Breaking Wave to retreive it for them. And it's up to Aster Phoenix and Corina Bucksworth to foil this evil plan.

Chapter 1 - The Sleepless Star
Story: Aster Phoenix and Corina Bucksworth arrive on planet Cassiopeia in search and study of a jewel which was rumored to possess a strange, unquenchable fire known as "Sleepless Star". But are ambushed by Gla-Thon, who is also in search for it and attacks them, suspecting them to be thieves. Aster and Corina tell her they're not thieves and offer help if Gla-Thon would accept to show them where the Sleepless Star was taken from. Gla-Thon accepts and leads them to the nearby village. Thieves had come when the village's natives were away hunting, ransacking it along with Whisper Stones in their search for the Sleepless Star, whose disappearance also extinguished the village's sacred burial fire. Hearing the whole story, Aster and Corina go to gather Whisper Stones before proceeding after the Sleepless Star. Gla-Thon accepts Aster and Corina's aid in search of Whisper Stones hidden inside burial caves at the nearby mountain of the Sleepless Star village, albeit reluctantly. Now the trio must find the Whisper Stones before the thieves who stol the Sleepless Star do.
Gameplay: Here it is the game called Jewel Quest: The Sleepless Star. Like in previous Jewel Quest games, goal is to turn all squares on the board into gold. New elements inclue artifacts that give you beneficial effects that can help you solve levels easier. Optional levels which if all are completed give great rewards, and if you get a gold star on all levels of the chapter, you can unlock some other artifacts. Every new style of gameplay now has tutorial, and speaking of new styles of gameplay in this game, only two appear in the first levels. Climbing is the mode in which you must turn one part of the board into gold before going for the other one. You can actually swap jewels from any part on the board, but only squares in the currently active part (other parts are inactive by having no squares visible) will turn into gold upon matching. Once the currently active part is turned into gold, other one becomes available and so on. Secret Entrance is the mode in which several parts of the board are hidden, and only matches near the unfinished edges will reveal more of the board. Finished edges have border so keep matching jewels near the unfinished edges until all hidden parts of the board are revealed. Once you find them all, just turn the rest of the squares into gold to complete the level.
