We dive into Kessen 2 with a mandatory tutorial for Liu Bei! We quickly learn that Cao Cao has betrayed the Han Empire and Lord Liu Bei, attempting to seize control of China for himself. However, Liu Bei only cares about saving some idiot girl who in the history has little to do with Liu Bei. Instead of trying to end the chaos, save the child emperor, or avenge Zhang Fei's daughter, Liu Bei is instead only interested in Diao Chan. Fantastic.
Mei Sanniang coaches us in the tutorial as Zhang Fei and Guan Yu assist us in battle against Xiahou Yuan of Wei. Overcoming this, not without the timely assistance from Lord Zhao Yun, we turn our attention to retaking the capital.
Kessen II is a strategy game loosely based on the Three Kingdoms period of China. It is a departure from both Kessen and Kessen III, whose events take place in Japan. This game introduces magic and removes automatic duels.
