Facing incredible odds, Liu Bei joins together with Sun Quan to face Cao Cao in a decisive battle at Chi Bi. The much smaller fleets of Shu and Wu hope to employ a fire tactic, but for this to happen, the wind needs to blow the correct direction. This is where Zhuge Liang comes in, as he is tasked with bringing the win.
In actuality, Zhuge Liang was an astronomer who predicted that the wind would come. There was no magic. Huang Gai of Wu would then bring the heat to Cao Cao's ships that were chained together. There are conflicted reports on this part, but it is thought that Pang Tong was the one who got the ships chained together.
