Why do cracked walls always indicate the player should blow them up? What if you accidentally hit a load bearing beam, and bring the whole building down?

And it turns out that my statement at the beginning wasn't entirely true. The comment with the solution to the puzzle was posted before I recorded, but I recorded before I read it. Which is going to be my policy for this Let's Play in general. I won't read comments on a video until I'm posting the next one, in order to make puzzle solving on me, rather than a result of reading comments.
