Kolibri is a shoot 'em up for the Sega 32X. Hailing from Novotrade International - the Ecco the Dolphin studio - and published by Sega in 1995, it's one of the few noteworthy exclusives for the ill-fated add-on.

Kolibri puts players in control of the eponymous hummingbird as it attempts to rescue the Earth. A palpable appreciation for the environmental and biological issues are evident after reading the varied and detailed manual.

In the first episode of my playthrough, I encounter a couple of fully open stages before ending on an automatically scrolling stage - something more familiar to the genre.
