While I'm normally down with what's ultimately an arcade shooter there's something with the way this is set up that rubs me the wrong way and, more often than not, it feels cheap honestly. Power-up inconsistency, attacks that span the screen that you're not able to do much about most of the time, and controls that at least would have been better as twin-stick than as implemented all make this a bit of a bummer. Hard can be done right and offer challenge and fun in parallel, this is lacking in fun.
