The Water Wave won't see much use, but as long as you're standing on the ground, it will fire a column of water across the ground. That's pretty much it.
There is definitely a jump in the stage difficulty. Most notably in the return of the disappearing/reappearing blocks over a spike pit trick, but some enemy placements will make you think ahead a bit, and the arrow and Rush Coil will get a workout here.
It's just too bad the boss is really, really easy and probably the biggest sign of how rushed this game was.
