Do you remember Gemini Man's laser, and how it was really annoying to use when it missed and had to bounce around? Crystal Man's weapon does that, only it breaks into four pieces that all have to time out before you can fire another shot. The only time I ever find use for it is against Napalm Man and, IIRC, one of the fortress bosses.
This stage has a decent challenge to it. The opening features tigers that hit hard, there are waterfalls that try to push you into bottomless pits, and a few other areas that can wear your energy down quickly. Napalm Man has an AI exploit where you can get him in a loop of firing shots just over you and then jumping to allow you to slide under him and repeat the process. I'm terrible at pulling it off, but it can be done.
