As we continue through Skull Castle we finally get to a water stage...unless you count the secret path in Rainbow Man's stage. The trickiness of the fortress continues as we have some difficult jumps over death spikes early on, plus death spikes underwater. The boss isn't too tough as long as you pay attention and don't let him squish you. As a heads up, keep the Glue Shot at the ready for the boss; it makes things much easier.
