Looks like those claws really could rip a tank apart.
Well, it's been a fair time coming, but I suppose I really should LP some of the annoying Megaman games (this beats X5 in stupidity by a long shot... but not quite up to the level of X6 or X7)
SnakeEater7771 challenged me to play this on Hard mode. Well... why not? Let's make this stupidly hard game even harder.
This game's difficulty is down to one thing : Idiotic level design.
It's downright ridiculous at points, and as a rule the Mini-Bosses are about 3 times as difficult as the actual Maverick battles. I also seem to remember *SPOILER* Sigma *SPOILER* being a right pain in the ass to beat to.

Oh well. The intro stage isn't exactly hard, but it's one of the few intro stages in the X series where you have a very good chance of getting your ass handed to you, especially since the enemies can kill you in three hits at this point. (Wut Capcom, seriously, wut.)

Anyway, this should be interesting, at least I have the harddrive space to record it now. XD
I am also playing by memory, as usual. Since i've played X8 more recently than, say, X5, my memory of item locations shouldn't be quite as bad as say, it was in Duff McWhalen's stage.

Last thing: Please don't ask me where you can download this, because I don't know. I own an actual copy of the game, which I imported from Japan because I was getting sick of waiting for Capcom of Europe to release the PS2 version. Yep, the JPN release contains the English language tracks on there. That's also why the intro uses Janne Da Arc's music as opposed to the boring US intrumental.
If you are trying to buy the PC version of this game, get either the Japanese version or the European release, as they both contain all languages on them. Do NOT buy the Korean version, as that does not contain the English version on the disk.
For the record, I also own copies of the PC versions of X4, X5 and X6. So don't ask me where to download those from either. :P
