Let's Play Meritous (P1)
34Meritous (by ASCEAI) is... well... quite interesting as a game, to speak nothing of its roguelike qualities.The mechanics are basic, the combat is freeform, and the exploration is continuous. There's a lot to accomplish, a lot to think about, and trouble through every door!
Truth be told, this will not be a blind playthrough. As a matter of fact, I played this game as a contender for "first non-Chaosforge Let's Play" back when I was getting my video-recording feet wet. Played the heck out of it for a period of time, then set the game down and never looked back. In some ways, the lack of blind playthrough will make things less amusing for myself, since I won't run into huge surprises and twists. On the other hand, it should prove to be a more insightful run of the game! For example, Meritous is short enough that I may possibly beat it without the series going Angband-long. Fingers crossed!
