Continuing on after the 2nd Vulcan Raven boss battle. The next room has Gun Cameras out the wazoo,plus some trap doors. Throw a Chaff Grenade or two and you can grab more Stinger Missiles in here. Up ahead,you'll finally find the Metal Gear Rex Hangar! Now to start climbing this behemoth. Otacon will be talking to you periodically as you make your way up Rex. Check the surrounding areas for supplies,especially Chaff Grenades and Stinger Missiles. Otacon eventually finds out that Rex can fire stealth nuclear weapons! These invisible weapons of mass destruction could mean the end of the world! Scary stuff. Up ahead is a single guard patrolling the area that leads to the Control Room. He's easy to get past going TO the Control Room,but I'm not sure how you're supposed to get FROM it without setting off an alert. He can hear your footsteps on the ground here if you're too close,so be careful. Might just be better to take him out I guess,but he does respawn. Once Snake reaches the Control Room,he'll hear a conversation between Liquid Snake and Revolver Ocelot. They talk about launching the nuke and their demands,plus mention something called FoxDie. During all this,Otacon lets Snake know that he actually has all 3 PAL Keys. It's a shape memory alloy key that changes shape depending on the temperature. Too bad Snake gets noticed and ends up dropping the PAL Key down below. Dodge the guard and climb back down Rex. The PAL Key has been eaten by a rat that goes through a tunnel linking 2 rat holes. You can set C4 at either or both rat holes,then lure the rat to one of them and blow it up to get the Key back. Return to the Control Room afterwards,dodging the guard on the way. Toss a Chaff Grenade to avoid the Gun Cameras in this room,otherwise you'll be locked in with poison gas flooding the area. Use the PAL Key on the first computer to activate the room temperature terminal.
