Continuing on after the Psycho Mantis fight. The next area is a small series of caves with wolf dogs prowling around. They don't count as being caught if they see you,but they WILL attack you. Your Night Vision Goggles should help to get through here. Sneak past them and make for the wall on the eastern side,there's a hole you can crawl through to continue. When you catch up with Meryl,assign one of your Cardboard Boxes to quick select. If you punch Meryl and then quickly hide,one of the wolves will mark your Box. This will prevent the dogs from attacking you while you have it on! In the next area is a small minefield. You could follow Meryl,or just crawl over the Claymores safely. Afterwards,Meryl will end up shot and incapacitated by a sniper. Snake can't do anything to help her right now,she's bait to try and lure him out! The only thing that could help right now is a PSG-1 Sniper Rifle,and that's all the way back in the tank hangar. You'll have to backtrack through the caves,back up the elevator in the Nuclear Storage Building,and past the snowfield to get back to the Armory in the other building. You'll once again have to sneak past guards and surveillance cameras alike. In the snowfield,you'll have to watch out for newly placed Gun Cameras and Claymore Mines. Chaff Grenades and Thermal Goggles help here. Head down to the Armory on B2,but be careful because a guard is posted just outside the room where the PSG-1 is. There's also tricky security lasers to crawl past in the room. Once you have it,you'll have to make the long trek back to where Meryl is. For the Sniper Wolf boss fight,you'll need the drug Diazepam to steady yourself while aiming the sniper rifle. Try to hug either the left or right corner so you're not completely out in the open. If you get hit while aiming,it can totally screw up where you were aiming at. Wait for Wolf to either poke her head out or run around,then let her have it! Just try to keep an eye on her at all times and make sure you have enough Diazepam,and this fight shouldn't be too hard. Sadly,Meryl is nowhere in sight. Snake ends up captured as well after trying to find Sniper Wolf's body.
