1Metal Slug 4. I suck at this series but I love this series. Thanks for watching me die nonstop while I complete this game.
As I mentioned in the video, I'm playing this on a Neo Geo AES with the Unibios installed and as such I've enabled two cheats - unlimited lives so I can bypass the continue screen and rapid fire to avoid carpal tunnel syndrome. I also forgot to change the console region to Japan so unfortunately there's not much blood in this playthrough, we get the American "sweat" version which is stupid but this game still rules.

Metal Slug 4 is a run and gun for the Neo-Geo console/arcade created by Mega Enterprise along with Noise Factory. It was released in 2002 for the Neo-Geo MVS arcade platform, and is the fourth game in the Metal Slug series. Two years later, Playmore published Metal Slug 4 for consoles.
Metal Slug 4 retains the same gameplay as previous titles, with the addition of some enemies, bosses, weapons, several vehicles and a bonus combo system. It was ported to Xbox and PlayStation 2 as a stand-alone game in Japan and Europe, and along with Metal Slug 5 as a compilation in North America and South Korea. The Nintendo Switch version was released in 2018.
