In this video, you will see me play Microtopia (Full Release). Microtopia is a Robot Ant Colony Simulation Strategy game with Mining, Crafting, Production, and Automation mechanics. This game has a lot of similarities to "Factorio", "Craftomation 101", "Empires of the Undergrowth", "Oddspark: An Automation Adventure", "Shapez 2", "Oxygen Not Included", "Factory Tower", "Autoforge", "The Riftbreaker", and "Learning Factory". You are Hive Mind of a Robot Ant Colony and must grow a Utopia for your Robot Ants. Start with a Queen Ant and gather resources to reproduce new worker ants. Gather various resources and build an automated colony, expand, and grow to an empire. You need to create various types of ants for different types of tasks. Get Inventor Ants to research Inventor Points to unlock new technologies. Expand to other Islands in the world to access new resources. What I like about this game is that it doesn't use the conventional "conveyer belt" mechanics, but instead has Ants moving along "pheromone" trails that you create. Expanding to other islands gets challenging as it require a little bit more creativity and thought. This game is unique, fun, and addictive. I highly recommend it.
