Reminds me of that heist DLC in Fallout: New Vegas. Even if you learn nothing from the villain's story and take all the gold bars, you will be severely over encumbered and can't fast travel to a merchant; merchants which don't have enough caps to trade for the treasure anyways. Achenar can't even access a merchant to begin with, so he was forced to learn pretty quick...
