Let's Play NHL 08 ps2 Playoffs Game 4
Down 2-0 heading to Toronto, the Thrashers faced what they considered to be a must-win situation for them in order to avoid falling into a devastating 3-0 hole. Kari Lehtonen needed to step up and drastically improve his play from the previous two games. Seemingly all odds were against Atlanta, but after a hard-fought game, and a much improved performance from Lehtonen, the Thrashers, having gone 0-6 in their previous playoff games, earned the first win in a postseasn game in franchise history on their 7th try. Much of the credit goes to Lehtonen stepping up his game and holding off a barrage of shots from the Maple Leafs. Without his 35 saves, the Thrashers would be in a 3-0 hole, but instead, Atlanta is only down 2-1 and back in the series. If they are still to advance to the second round, though, they must win at least one more in Toronto, but for now, they have forced a Game 5 and the right to play at least one more game at home. Now, it is Game 4 of this series, and Atlanta hopes to steal yet another one from the Leafs. As we saw in Game 3, though, it is not going to be easy. If they do, though, not only will the series be even, it will also become a best-of-3, but more importantly, Atlanta will have regained home-ice advantage. And if that happens, it's a different series entirely.
