Let's Play OUTLAST first time blind in 2019 With The Flood
3Another horror stream where we are late to the party! Years after release in 2013 we in 2019 do a first time, blind play-through of OUTLAST. Does OUTLAST hold up? This was one of the most highly requested, and suggested games I had after Amnesia and I understand why. It's not every game you get chased by a couple giant naked psychos with knives.
Played the game in two streams, and merged them into one big bad VOD for you here on youtube. A tiny experiment that twitter voted as foolish but we did it anyway so enjoy 7.5 hours of outlast my friends.
We had a really great time with this one, there were some hilarious scares, a few frustrations - but overall Outlast was a great experience.
IMPRESSIONS: Outlast is... a fun experience overall, a scary experience for sure, and SOMETIMES a punishing one. It's a game that likes to kick you in the stomach... and then again... and then again. Mostly that actually WORKS, but I will say I had to 'fight' the game mechanic or 'figure it out' and then overcome it a few times that it broke the immersion for me and took away from the 'horror' of things. OVERALL though that accounted for a small fraction of the scary OUTLAST insane asylum experience, and this is a pretty easy recommend if you are wanting to get spooked on.
