Let's Play Pacifist Planescape Torment: Enhanced Edition - Episode 5 - Here lies Deionarra
Join the Level 0 NPCs as they play through one of the greatest RPGS, if not games, of all time: Planescape Torment!
This week:
The Nameless one has found the "Fungerbone" charm that will get him out of the Mausoleum without attracting the suspicion of the Dustmen, but before he exits, there is the matter of the woman that once traveled with him, who Dhall had mentioned. We pay Deionarra a visit, to learn what she might tell us...
Planescape Torment tells the story of an immortal being known as "The Nameless One", who has lost all memory of his countless past lives, and is on a journey to reclaim his memories wrapped up in a jaunt through the odd and often sinister city of Sigil, the City of Doors in the Dungeons & Dragons Planescape campaign setting.
Torment was originally published in 1999 by Interplay Entertainment, developed by Black Isle Studios, the company behind the Baldur's Gate and Fallout series. It is often cited as one of the greatest CRPGs, if not video games, of all time, and for good reason. Fantastic, moody writing, a deep and immersive lore and the background of one of the most beloved fringe settings in the venerable Dungeons & Dragons roleplaying system, it tells a thought-provoking and surprisingly well-paced story, especially given the limitations of the medium in the late '90s.
The NPCs are playing through Torment with a "Cerebral" Nameless one - Not necessarily intended to be a complete pacifist playthrough, but with the intent to avoid combat by-and-large, and instead enjoy the amazing campaign (And Matt's voice acting).
The NPCs are playing the "Enhanced Edition" Rereleased, upgraded version of Planescape Torment by Beamdog.
