The Ziplocke Rules are as follows:
1. If a Pokemon faints, it is considered dead and must be released or permanently deposited into a designated "death box" in the PC.
2. If a blackout/whiteout ever occurs, where the trainer loses a battle, the game is over regardless of whether or not there are still living Pokemon in the PC.
3. Only the first wild Pokemon encountered in any given area can be caught after first receiving Poke Balls.
4. Every Pokemon caught must be nicknamed.
5. If the first encounter in a given area is a Pokemon that has already been obtained, it is to be omitted and the next encounter in that area will count as the first encounter and can be caught (Dupes Clause).
6. Free Pokemon are acceptable and do not count as encounters from a given area.
7. In the case of the mandatory usage of an HM, it must be taught to one of your Pokemon; if none can learn it, then another Pokemon can be caught and temporarily used, but only for the HM, never in battle.
8. A Pokemon may only have one status or recovery move at a given time unless it is impossible to avoid, but if it has more than one non-damage dealing move, it cannot use more than one of its non-damage dealing moves in any battle. This should prevent stalling. . . and add Wobbuffet Clause: if your encounter is a Wobbuffet, you may just catch the next Pokemon instead.
9. Non-hold items may not be used in battle, with the exception of Poke Balls.
10. Every three Pokemon you obtain are sealed together. While you can switch your party Pokemon in the PC, the three Pokemon in a given group must stick together, i.e. a closed group of three Pokemon in your party would need to be switched with a group of three Pokemon (or an incomplete group of one or two Pokemon) from the PC. However, no members from a group with any Pokemon out of the PC may be left in the PC. When new Pokemon are caught, they join the oldest non-complete group; if a Pokemon dies, a new one can take its place in the group to fill the group back up. Once a Pokemon joins a given group, it is in that group permanently.
11. If you ever find a shiny Pokemon, you may catch it, keep it, and use it (Shiny Clause).
