Let's Play Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire 2 Player Nuzlocke Part 74 - Lin VS Max 7th Battle
62Let's Play Pokemon Omega Ruby & Alpha Sapphire Multiplayer Nuzlocke Challenge Part 74! It's time for another VS Battle! Lin VS Max Round 7! This is the last battle we'll have unless we both make it through the Pokemon League and have a final Pokemon Master Showdown! Let's see how this one goes! It's not a wifi battle it's a... local battle. That's what these are called, right?
This Pokemon Nuzlocke is a touch different. Lin and I have picked up Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Pokemon Omega Ruby respectively, and we've each decided to start a Pokemon Nuzlocke challenge at the same time! We have both of our Pokemon Nuzlockes recorded, and we will be chatting and playing together.
Out Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Nuzlocke Playthrough has the regular rules in effect, as well as the duplicate clause. You can read the rules here in the description, and we details the Nuzlocke Challenge Rules at the start of the video as well.
I've never done a Nuzlocke before, but I became really interested after watching Projared's Pokemon Fire Red Nuzlocke.
Since Lin and I are playing sort of a 2 Player OmegaRuby/AlphaSapphire Let's Play, we've decided to introduce a Versus element to the nuzlocke as well. Each time we both beat a gym leader and earn a new badge, we will have a Pokemon Vs Wifi Battle. 6 vs 6, no level caps or anything... just team vs team. The winner of the battle gets to choose one of the opponents Pokemon to keep in a trade.
The loser of the battle may protect one Pokemon via veto, but the winner can choose any other Pokemon. We do have the duplicate clause in effect though, so we cannot trade for a Pokemon that person already owns. This Versus element is evil and I think Lindsey and I will hate eachother by the end of this.
Another thing worth noting is that if one of us loses our Nuzlocke, the other person will continue as far as they can. I wonder if either of us will get all the gym badges and make it to the elite 4 and become a champion?
It's worth noting that I've never played Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. Lin has played Emerald a bit, but our familiarity with the Hoenn region is definitely limited. I'm interested to see how we'll do. Lots of surprises ahead!
I really enjoy the 3D looks of the Pokemon Remakes. The battles are almost like a match in Pokemon Stadium. It looks and feels really nice. The mega evolutions should make things interesting too. I really want a Mega Pidgeot! :D I hope everyone enjoys watching our first Pokemon Nuzlocke Walkthrough! :)
Nuzlocke Rules!
1. When a Pokemon faints it is dead, and the Pokemon has to then be released or put in a PC box exclusively for 'dead'
Pokemon.
2. You can only catch the first Pokemon you encounter in any area throughout the game. Unless you've already caught the first encounter, then you get to re-role until you encounter one you haven't caught. (dupes clause)
3. Must nickname all Pokemon you catch.
Clauses!
Dupes Clause (Duplicate Clause)- To add to the uniqueness of each Pokemon. This means you do not count any encounter against any Pokemon whose species you have already caught, which is usually determined by the Poke Ball symbol by their HP bar.
