Chessmaster was a series of chess programs that basically were good enough to beat anyone in the world. The interesting thing is that you could tinker with the parameters to give different "personalities", including how much the AI would value certain pieces, how often it would play randomly or accept trades, etc.

That said, I probably could have put this on baby mode and still lost. I've accepted that chess is not my game, and have no intention of getting better.

But I do have to say: wow this 3D is ugly as sin.
