Last time it looked like we were in quite a serious bind, but there are two things that can help us out. The first of these is the double damage buff that we've been holding on to for all this time and the second is a secret that is hidden away just before the boss that I only discovered when looking up strategies to combat this foe. Said secret is a power shield, possibly one of the only ones in the entire game, and it changes everything.

That power shields were so prevalent in both the base campaign and The Reckoning tells you that having one is factored into the difficulty of the challenge the game presents to you. Not having one in this, a much more difficult campaign, has been a massive pain but now we can finally get some much-needed defence against the many, many things that can punch holes in us and it only took until near the end to finally get it.
