Today I present one of the best shooters in the SNES collection: R-Type III: The Third Lightning. It was developed and published by Irem in Japan on December 10, 1993, in the US on August 2nd, 1994 by Jaleco. And it's also available in Game Boy Advance published by Distribution Software in US and by Zoo Digital in Europe.

R-Type is a side-scrolling shooter and it's very similar to Gradius and Life Force just for naming a few.

This game receive positive reviews and an unanimous score of 8 out of 10 by Electronic Gaming Monthly and it also awarded
Best Shooter of 1994.
