Ratchet & Clank: Going Commando, known as Ratchet & Clank 2: Locked and Loaded in Australia and most PAL countries, serves as the second installment in the Ratchet & Clank series, developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment. It launched in November 2003 for the PlayStation 2.
While maintaining the core third-person action-adventure gameplay of its predecessor, Going Commando introduces a greater emphasis on role-playing game elements. Players now have the ability to enhance their nanotech (health) and weapons by defeating enemies and absorbing their nanomites. Additionally, a wider array of weapons and armor can be purchased from Megacorp vendors using collected bolts. R&C2 offers an expanded range of challenges, including gladiator battles and hoverbike races, which provide opportunities to earn bolts or raritanium for ship upgrades.
