4We explore a bit more of Obsidian Tower and fight another character boss.
Griff (Rebel With A Cause):
For the unprepared, Griff will rip you to pieces. He will rush at you much like Charme did back in Jade Way. His claws slash in an arc so if he gets close, he will hit you. He can do a shadow version of Charme's Flame Charge. He can throw a barrage of rings similar to what the Bomb enemies shoot. The trick to avoid them is to stand still and let the rings come to you. Once the rings touch or pass you, move away from them to get just out of range before they detonate. His final attack is he teleports to the center top or bottom of area and shoot a cone of dark bats out. Some of the bats will remain as Eyebats that will further hinder your fight.
Much like Charme, Griff will become immune to damage upon taking two hits in a row. But he will also explode with dark energy when he gets back up, causing damage if you are near him. He is also completely immune to attacks while charging up his shadow charge.
Best ways to fight him is to use Tielle's Cuterage! and blast him with arrows from afar. The multiple arrows will knock him over and give you a chance to move away. Other than that, you can go in with Louie or Charme with alot of SP items and just spam Whirlwind Slash and Flame Charge over and over again till he dies.
