Rick Henderson is a "shmup" (shoot-em-up) game in the vein of the 16-bit arcade classics like R-Type. But while the levels aren't too long, there is a lot more going on in each of them. Don't get me wrong. It's still fun, but it seems more like a game you would find in an arcade that would suck your quarters. It will take a lot of time and precise movements to make it all the way through, especially on hard mode. The online leaderboards are a nice touch, and they will keep players coming back for more if only to climb ahead of their friends and others. If you really like difficult shmups, give it a shot. If you're on the fence, wait until it's on sale, which is bound to happen frequently, as with other indie games like this.
