Let's Play Rune Factory: Oceans Part 14 - Getting The Earth Spirit Shrine Key
0Continuing on from the previous part, I head to the inn and accept a request from Lily.
This request is to check out a mysterious sunken temple.
Before heading out to find this sunken temple, I check on my crops.
After doing that, I head towards where the sunken temple is.
One thing to note here is that I finally get to use the fast travel in this game where we can just mark our destination on the map, and then watch as Ecco walks to the island on the map as time is sped up.
Upon picking up the sunken temple, Ecco places it down (This is one of the islands that stays above the sea once picked up.) so we can get on the island.
While I do have a brief look at the island, and pick up some spirits, I end up heading back to Fenith island without doing much due to how late it was getting.
I then spend the rest of the day/night talking to people, giving a few gifts to people, (One of which doesn't go too well!) and of course, reporting our findings to Lily to complete the request. (We don't get a reward for that one! But talking to her after that, she tells us that we can work at the inn during the day to help them out and make some money.)
After sleeping through the night, we then move onto the next day.
As usual, I spend the morning talking to people and checking on my crops.
I also release some more spirits onto spring island as well as see the hilarious transformation scene for changing Ecco's head! (It's hilarious because there was no new headwear for it to be an actual transformation!)
After doing all that, I head to the temple uncovered earlier in this part and battle some monsters.
Once all the monster spawn ball/things around the temple are destroyed, we get to enter the temple to battle some more monsters.
After defeating these monsters, we get a treasure chest that contains the earth spirit shrine key.
This key will lead us to the first proper plot related location (Outside of Fenith island.) in the game in the next request.
With that being said, I end up making the same mistake I made years ago and end up handing over the key to Lily.
In doing this, you lose the key! (Not 100% sure, but I think the key might respawn on shrine island. Either way, if you end up doing that, I think it would be best to just reload a save file where you either still have the key, or a point before getting the key itself.)
So with that, it's a good thing I was smart enough to save the game before doing that!
