Continuing on from the previous part, I go to bed, wake up, and start a new day.
After going about my usual morning routine of talking to everyone on the island, as well as checking on my crops and monsters, I head back into the earth spirit shrine with three of my monsters to finally make it to the top of the shrine!
While there were a lot of monsters to fight along the way, there was something I had forgotten that was on the next to last floor... a boss fight!
So after a number of tough battles along the way, I take on the boss of this shrine, the moleman! (Side note: I also befriend two more monsters while on the way to the top floor.)
This boss fight can be pretty tough if you're unprepared.
Luckily for me, I had three tough monsters with me to back me up in the fight!
As a result, I was able to defeat the boss! (That probably wouldn't have happened if I hadn't brought those three monsters along to fight with me!)
With the moleman defeated, I head to the top floor and approach a pedestal in the middle of the room.
But then suddenly! Before I can even look at the orb thing on the pedestal, the goblin captain and his crew show up to steal it!
But with the goblin captain being a bit clumsy, he accidentally drops the orb to the ground, where it shatters upon impact.
As the shrine begins to shake, the pirate crew quickly flee.
Before we can do the exact same thing, some over powered dark spirits show up and kick my ass in battle!
But this was a battle we weren't mean't to win, so the cutscene continues as we flee from the shrine as it slowly turns to stone. (I mean it looked like it was already made of stone! But the implications is that it's become like how spring island was when we first found it.)
With the earth spirit shrine seeming to be in a sort of petrified state that we can't resolve right now, I head head back to Fenith island.
While talking to a couple of people at the inn, Elena tells us that we need to find some kind of core for her so that she can upgrade Ecco. (That upgrade is required to advance the game forward with the golden turnip requests.)
After talking to people at the inn, I return home, talk to Pandora, and then go to bed.
With another day beginning, and the earth spirit shrine having finally been cleared, what will happen next? Find out in the next part!
