For those not in the know, the Poseidon adventure is a book/movie from 1972 about a cruise ship that founders and is turned upside down while still afloat. The survivors must clumb down! to save themselves from the sinking ship.
The movie have been remade many times and carbon copied into movies like Daylight with Stallone in the lead. Hey, like both movies (and even some of the remakes) so sue me! :-)
