The fight against Avion is far different than the other colossi so far in that you're on the offense far more than before. In fact, you'll likely take no damage from the flying colossus at all considering that his ONLY attack is your only means of getting on him. While you're flailing in the air, clinging to his wings and tail as he tries to barrel roll and flap you off, keep in mind that motion physics are in play here.
If you fall off of Avion's wing while it's above his body, you CAN cling on to his body/tail as you fall (I demonstrate this twice in the video, although it's relatively difficult to get used to). Just be sure that you have enough stamina left to actually pull this move off. Doing so successfully, however, means that you'll be able to move from wing to tail even faster than you would otherwise, and can lead to some pretty spectacular time attack records. Just keep in mind how much of a heartless bastard Wander is for killing something so neutral as you're soaking in its blood.
