Let's Play Shovel Knight Part 7 (Wii U Gameplay) - Baz & The Lost City
Let's Play Shovel Knight Part 7! We fight Baz and head to The Lost City, Where Mole Knight resides!
Lin & I are bringing you a new series as we go through this Shovel Knight walkthrough / Playthrough / whatever you want to call this series. We actually tried to make a video a while back showing off our Shovel Knight First impressions, and do a little Shovel Knight review... but we were too invested in the game and really didn't say much.
Shovel Knight is a sweeping classic action adventure game with awesome gameplay, memorable characters, and an 8-bit retro aesthetic developed and published by indie developer Yacht Club Games. You play as the eponymous Shovel Knight, a small knight with a huge quest. Shovel Knight has come to this valley with two goals: to defeat the evil Enchantress and save his lost beloved. He wields a ShovelBlade; a multipurpose weapon whose techniques have now been lost to the ages. Always honest and helpful, Shovel Knight is a shining example of the code of Shovelry: Slash Mercilessly and Dig Tirelessly!
I'm very much looking forward to the Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows DLC coming soon!
However, between Shovel Knight and his beloved stands a cadre of villainous knights. These terrible foes, known as The Order of No Quarter, have been dispatched to prevent Shovel Knight from reaching the Enchantress at any cost!
The game was initially released for Microsoft Windows, Nintendo 3DS, and Wii U in June 2014, and ports of the game for OS X and Linux followed in September of the same year. Ports for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita were released on April 21, 2015, with an Xbox One port released on April 29, 2015.
There are eight members of the Order; King Knight, Specter Knight, Treasure Knight, Mole Knight, Plague Knight, Polar Knight, Propeller Knight and Tinker Knight. The main stages in Shovel Knight include the Intro Stage: Plain, as well as Pridemoor Keep, The Lich Yard, Explodatorium, Iron Whale, Lost City, Clockwork Tower, Stranded Ship, Flying Machine, and the Tower of Fate Levels, Entrance, Ascent, and ????. There are two villages, the Village and Armor Outpost, as well as Relic Courses Forest of Phasing, Knuckler's Quarry, and Frigid Flight. There's also the Troupple Pond, Hall of Champions, and a Shortcut? The Xbox One version has an exclusive stage, Myserious Area.
You can also find encounters on the Map like in Super Mario Bros. 3. Encounters are special events that appear on the map and disappear when cleared. With the exception of the loot bonus stages they roam around the map freely. There are boss fights with Reize Seatlan, The Baz, Black Knight, Phantom Striker, and Kratos in the Sony Exclusive Versions for PS3 and PS4. There's also bonus encounters including the Plains Encounter, Pridemoor Keep Loot, Iron Whale Loot, and Lich Yard Encounter.
