Let's Play Silent Hill: Downpour (Blind) Part 4 - Mines & The Peak of Enemy AI
Continuing on from the previous part, I solve a puzzle, and descent further into the mines.
As I head further into the mines, I find a news report of an accident that led to a couple of kids dying due to the carelessness of the man operating the train at devil's pit.
The careless man turns out to be the guy I met earlier, JP Sater.
Moving on from that, I eventually run into a new enemy, which appears to be a hairless monster! (These are apparently the weeping bats I read about!)
After a fair bit of fail trying to figure out how best to get through this area, I knock the monster down, and break down some boards to get further into the mines.
I eventually run into JP again after taking the lift up to the next area.
He clearly regrets what happened, but can't seem to accept that he was at fault for the accident.
Murphy pretty much trash talks him for being a drunk that got those kids killed.
During this scene, JP is standing over the cliff, clearly thinking about ending it all.
We eventually get a choice to either try to stop him, or continue to taunt him.
I go with the former, but JP still jumps to his death.
After that scene, I move onto the cave of tears.
This place is kind of annoying at first due to not knowing where to go, and there being another monster constantly showing up to chase me!
One upside to all this is the hilariously bad enemy AI when I get towards the exit.
How is it hilarious and bad? Well the enemy camps right in the area where I need to go, but refuses to be lured out to chase after me!
After watching the monster dance back and forth a lot, I dart right past it to get to the next auto save.
So with this area seemingly still having more left to get through, what will happen next? Find out in the next part!
