Let's Play Skyrim Legendary Difficulty | Part 15: The ‘Mid Game’ Set & Black Book: The Sallow Regent
2The Let's Play continues!
In this episode, we start out by making ourselves the ‘Mid Game Set’: Clothing Gloves (Fortify Archery/Fortify Magicka), Clothing Boots (Resist Fire/Resist Frost), and Ring (Fortify Archery/Fortify Conjuration). These items can be made either ‘straight after’ obtaining the Extra Effect perk, or once all possible Fortify Enchanting artifacts/potions have been obtained.
In this play through, we have opted to make slightly less powerful versions of the ‘Mid Game’ items early (42% vs a possible 52%, so not that much different), in order to obtain immediate combat power to help us obtain other items from the guide. As these items will all be eventually superseded by Late Game crafted items anyway, it is not too much a detriment if you choose to do something similar!
Next, we ventured to the northern reaches of Solstheim to White Ridge Barrow, in search of Black Book: The Sallow Regent. This Black Book is arguably the most useful Black Book for this character, as it grants a permanent ability to boost either Combat Skills, Stealth Skills, or Magic Skill by 10% … which includes Enchanting, Alchemy and Smithing!
Finally, we ventured back to the mainland and purchased some more Alchemy training, in preparation for the push to 100 Alchemy. Which we should be able to accomplish in the next video.
