Lets Play: "Slay The Spire" Part 47 (The Defect Ascension 5 Run 1)

I truly just wanted to have some fun this run and try some new cards and ideas and I think we accidentally fell into a new beautiful way of playing The Defect. I've never really made a true frost focused deck, usually our decks are electric focused with elements of frost to help us survive but I decided to give it a try after receiving an early Thread and Needle. I wasn't sold immediately but right after getting that relic we got a Meat On The Bone relic and that just made our deck so damn tanky. We got extremely lucky early and found an Echo Form off of a normal fight early, which opened up some insane combos. After the boss in act one we actually got TWO Echo Forms (I think we could of had a total of FOUR Echo Forms this run.. but we'd never really play that many cards in one turn to want to double that many things.. I think..) and after taking those two I was on the hunt for energy fixing cards and relics. Eventually we find a Double Energy which allowed us to play both of our Echo Forms the same turn if needed. Then the deck plan was simple.. Get my Echo Forms up as fast as possible, trigger as many doubled Cold Snaps and Coolheaded cards as we could dealing solid damage, creating frost orbs, and drawing to our key cards (Blizzard) then we'd just double up on Blizzards dealing thirty to fourty damage so basically one energy dealing seventy to eighty damage to EVERYTHING! All the while I am passively gaining so much defense for evoking my frost orbs. I absolutely loved this deck and I will definitely be on the look out for more chances to run a frost deck! I have named this deck "The Cryo-Core Cyborg" and I think it really fits.
